Wausau, Florida Announces Qualifying Period and General Election on December 13, 2022

On Tuesday, December 13, 2022, a general election will be held in the Town of Wausau at the Wausau Town Hall, 1607 Second Avenue, Wausau, Florida.

Qualifying for the election will begin on Monday November 7, 2022, through November 10, 2022, during the hours of Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM-4:00 PM.

The Qualifying fee is $25.00 plus a 1% election assessment fee for a total of $46.00. The seats up for election are Council Post 3, Currently held by Charles W. Park Jr. (Billy), Post 1, currently held by Roger D. Hagan, and Post 2 currently held by Judy Carter, all elections are at large therefore the highest vote receivers will receive the 4-year terms available.

Anyone wishing to vote in the upcoming election who is not registered to vote may do so with the Washington County Supervisor of Elections on or before November 12, 2022. Registration books will close at this time.
